The importance of being Pause-Land

When I chose a name for this blog. I think in Pause-Land  because its  a  imaginary place and everybody can  go. This is the place for the procrastination,  yes I did it again

Procrastination its a word that I use a lot , because it means in simple words  : leave things for tomorrow.

Yeah, Its terrible but always that  I  do something important I preffer lost my time with other activity , innecesary and funny. Thats the true , but this place can be very necesary for everybody, I mean its the place for distraction and relax your mind about all stress  daily routine .

 I think is very great go to Pause-Land  because you can have a nice moment for  take a breath and then you  can continue with your works with a smile in your face and more fast.... because  go to Pause-Land is very great ,but when you see that you dont wanna come back its very hard get a ticket for the real life.

A Bike

One of my favourite hobbies is  go to bike for the city I really like this way to roam for  beautiful strets ,take  pictures  and listen some music. its  a very  economic transport and  doesnt pollute. although the bike does not pollute but cyclists are exposed to all the pollution that exists in Santiago and  some people in their cars doesnt have a concience about the cycling  is too sad  I think  we should invest in cycle-way to all main roads ,so it would reduce accidents of cyclists passing through the city. The cyclo-ways in Santiago are ocupaid for  imprudents drivers or some people that walk away  in this.

I like to go one sunday at month  to the  market  in the park  for bikes its very interesting and I can found new articles for my bike and share with other people good advice to travel in a bike around the city.

The angry cyclists is a group of people who use the bike for touring the city and taking the avenues organize marches in massive groups of cyclistsIf you have a car please be prudent and consider the people that use a bike.

Origami

Origami  technique is a japanese art consisting of paper folding to obtain figures of various shapes. I love make origami I`ve learned this in tutorials  for youtube the last year . I think is a very good technique because I just  need paper and my hands to do a model , we dont need glue or sissors so we can make origami in the subway or in the bus stop, in my bed in a booring sunday  to hang out . An important factor is the concentration that involves this art japanesse. Origami is very great way to trigger creativity and clear the mind for the stress moments . we can made differents animals, fruits, or object that we see  everyday. I love make origamis I can do bears, birds, elephants, craves and cats. I bought papers of diferents colours and textures  to do originals models.

 My favourites origami is : elephant origami and crave origami. I think that Im going to do an origami just after this class.

My favourite subject / COLLAGE

My favourite subject is the collage. We  see this subject at the first   year in this career , but in my case I  can search more about this topic the last year at the class : Escenic Desing III ,  Then I can  understand and practice as a metodology for my own projects.

In this class we usually read texts  of differents authors (H. Müller, T. Kantor, A. Artaud, S.Kane ) related to postmodern theatre, analize context , biographies,  other authors ,  relation of concepts , and then we can search images , videos , photographies , articles  as a reference  to conect the concepts, after we draw the first ideas about the scenic project but in this point i think is very necesary  apply the collage as a method for creating.

 Im interested in this subject  specifically  because is very usefull to me for the scenic creation , involves a plastic language as a first experimentation with the lights, fabrics , materials, atmosphere, that we can  use in our projects.

We can start with collages, at the moment  when  we choose the color palettes , shapes, point of tensión, and configure an storyboard complete as a guide for our proccess.

I was thinking about my tesis project, because the collage is an interesting subject to investigate in our work  like scenic designers, it seems a great challenge.

Victor Mendivil and the Llusco giant / CHAMBI

This picture was taken by  Martín Chambi Jiménez , Peruvian photographer , in 1925 , Cuzco.

 Martin Chambi was a photographer recognized for his pictures of social testimony, historical and ethnic. He can to portray the political, economic, social and cultural development of Latin America.

This photo show two men , one of them is a  countryman and other a rich man,  we can see the contraposition of this men , they are very close to each other seems like the light contrast, in the black and white photos, were also related to the quality of the fabrics and colors of their costumes, and the size of the countryman in relation to the other man is a very interesting way to make a  contraposition of these two worlds.

I love the work of Martin Chambi in his  pictures  we can see  the Latin American rants from its roots, but which itself evidence European domination and its influence in a very critical point of view. I choose this picture  in especial, because I consider one of the most  beautiful examples of his job.

My favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my  computer,  because is my working tool , actually I have a  new computer , I bought this year  and my old computer is for my brothers now .

I can use the computer for draw, read, write , see  pictures, videos or movies and listen music, all at the same time.

I like to combine  manual works, a draw for example,  with the tecnology  tools ,with the help of my computer  it can be  easy and fast .

I've grown accustomed to use my computer every single day Im using this computer right now for write this topic and make a storyboard for other class , meanwhile I can listen my soundtrack list. Apart from the work of the university I can use my computer to  talk with my friends , or just for fun.

I  consider my computer a very great  tool, and a elemental piece for my career , but I wouldn`t think that I can`t live without my computer, however I think is so …
